Montauk New YorkAT THE END The
Gig Shack (668)
At the End of Long Island exists a place with no
stop lights, franchises or bad attitudes. At least for
the most part this is the LAST REFUGE (of not
scoundrels), but the iconoclastic travelers (bohemian
and
sophisticated alike), who do not have the time
to make brave new worlds, but to enjoy that which
already is. My recent favorite is the Bohemian
Bar B Que here at the Gig while sipping on
coffee watching the world stop at the end.
literally
PS: here is what New Yorker really like, great food and
comradery, with an eclectic
consortium of the truly
avant gard
society. Actually you need to be here. No one gets past
this place
Tadich Grill #1 San Francisco You

selves to the finest that the California Rivera has to
offer. After visiting here for more than 40 years it has
not failed to satisfy all my expectations. I hope to
visit again, yours truly Milt

When in the San Luis Obispo area be sure to visit one of
most Romantic places in Southern California coastal area

standards, tradition and values..
San Diego California, circa 1960 eating at the Grant Grill,
named after the son of Ulysses S Grant, (which is listed
on the Historical Registry) having the best Prime Rib
for just $5. Wow! those were the days. Incidentally my
income was approximately $3,000 a week at the age of 21.
The reason I did so well and could earn that kind of
money was that I ran a company with over 200 salesmen,
providing encyclopedia to America’s best. Can you
imagine being able to eat the best meals for $5, staying
in Hotel for less than $20, and making enough money to
buy a brand new Chrysler Imperial every week. Me just a
farm boy, from Eureka, South Dakota, ain’t that
something, only in America. More later….
