Biography

Handsome Philadelphia native Stephen Oliver went from being broke and driving a cab to stardom when he landed the role of Lee Webber, on TV's Peyton Place. That put Steve at the top of the Bad Boys of Hollywood. Not only did Steve serve as a Veteran of the US Navy, he went on to be a roughneck, then a Bounty Hunter. Also he trained many of Hollywood biggest stars as a physical fitness instructor.

Film school, stunt extra and many commercial leads kept Stephen busy throughout his 28 years in and around the Movie and TV business. He fondly recalls when he did a guest opening for Jack Lalanne Health club the guy who got body building going in America.

You can find Stephen Oliver spending his time in and around the resort area's of southern ca. From Palm Springs, Laguna beach, Or enjoying his Mountain top Cabin in Big Bear Lake City.

Actively involved in writing good family scripted Movie Screen plays, you can still engage him in his favorite pastime reading, sharing and telling other of his Faith in Jesus Christ the Son of God.

Prior to his legendary salvation and life changing testimony you could see some of the body of work he did. Now he has been born again and the transformation made him on fire for God and the truths in his word the Bible.

 

 His film debut came in 1965 in Motor Psycho, and his other films include Werewolves on Wheels, Angels from Hell, and Cycle Psycho. His other TV work includes the role of Tom Hudson on the  series Brackens World.

 
   


 

Dark, brooding, ruggedly handsome Philadelphia-born actor who went from being broke and driving a taxi to landing the co-starring role of the pompadour-wearing wife abuser and murderer "Lee Webber" on TV's "Peyton Place" (1964). His character was killed off after two seasons.

During the run of "Peyton Place" (1964) he married his on-screen wife Lana Wood (she portrayed waitress Sandy Webber) but the marriage lasted a scant six weeks. He subsequently wed a former Miss Iceland, Anna Geirstottir, but that marriage too folded after a few months, and later actress Andrea Cyrill who played girlfriend Ginger Alden in the Elvis docudrama This Is Elvis (1981).

Displaying a bad guy animal magnetism, he tended to play rough-and-tumble biker types such as in the cheapjack films Motor Psycho (1965),Angels from Hell (1968), Werewolves on Wheels (1971), Fugitive Lovers (1975), and _Cycle Psycho (1975)_.

He was one of five children born to a garage mechanic in Philadelphia.
