Best Restaurants in the USA

Montauk New York
             AT THE END
The Gig Shack (668)        At the End of Long Island exists a place with no stop lights, franchises or bad attitudes. At least for the most part this is the LAST REFUGE (of not scoundrels), but the iconoclastic travelers (bohemian and sophisticated alike), who do not have the time to make brave new worlds, but to enjoy that which already is. My recent favorite is the Bohemian Bar B Que here at the Gig while sipping on coffee watching the world stop at the end. literally

PS: here is what New Yorker really like, great food and comradery, with an eclectic consortium of the truly avant gard society. Actually you need to be here. No one gets past this place

Tadich Grill   #1
San Francisco
You can go to a million places, but their is only one fish place in America, and that is the Tadich Grill. Prehaps it would not be too late for you to get some culture. Good enough for Mark Twain, Jack London, and many more.

San Francisco
Schroeder' s   is the quintessential German beer Hall with magnificent wall murals. Venison steaks and many traditional German dishes, certainly a feast and treat for a dinning experience.

Sacramento
Il Fornaio has combined elegence and comfort for any occasion. Always a Pleasant surprize and certainly will not be disapointing to any first time guest. Great Italian food with seasonal variations to coodinate with that of the owners home area. They have created a menu that will satisfy everyones hunger needs.. Il Forniao has thought of everything to please anyone in any situation.

Stokes, Monterey Ca.
Here a place to get stoked on, to use modern day parlance. In fact for 171 years this spot has accommodated the traveling citizenry from the four corners. The names is
Stokes, formerly the Gallatin's Restaurant for more than 20 years. Well you could not do better; by serving your selves to the finest that the California Rivera has to offer. After visiting here for more than 40 years it has not failed to satisfy all my expectations. I hope to visit again, yours truly Milt

San Luis Obispo
When in the San Luis Obispo area be sure to visit one of most Romantic places in Southern California coastal area that would be the
Sycamore Springs Spa and Resort. Certainly worth the short drive outside of SLO. Our Gardens of Avila offerings were: Butter Nut Squash soup – Apple & Pecan Salad - - Spring Rolls lettuce wraps - Coriander Crusted Ahi Tuna

Scottsdale, Arizona
Salt cellar is one really unique and vintage places to find it actually is hidden in the cellar a real underground restaurant. Great Seafood.

El Paso, Texas
Gunther's Edelweiss Restaurant, it diffently the best German restaurant you will find in several thousand miles. Right here next to border town mexican food, what a surprize, and yes we love the great taste of Mexican and South American dishes.
Lytle Land & Cattle Co
Midland, Texas
The famous Boy Hood Town of our wonderful President George W. Bush  also serves "The best chile rellenos anywhere", at the
La Bodega Mexican Restaurant: friendly and worth the two minutes off the freeway.

Abilene, Texas
The steakhouse too eat at is; Lytle Land & Cattle Co boy oh boy, is it real good. Green Chile soup, nice German sausage cooked by Mesquite wood, with a followup of Texas ribeye - Juicy and tender, moist, succulent, luscious, delicious, and oh did I forget to say juicy. Well that a good steak bar none. Don't let me stop you now head-on over before we eat them all.

Dallas, Texas
The
Old San Francisco Steak House brings back many memories, worth a take and peek because you will want to eat.

Austin, Texas
The famous Home Town of our wonderful President George W. Bush  has the best Vietnemese food in America, the place is named
TRIUMPH CAFÉ, read the history and you will agree.

San Antonio, Texas

The most visited city in Texas certainly boasts on many things, history, culture, money, and the landmark of independence for the Southwest, also the unique river walk with many dining and shopping experiences. Tex Mex is a must while in town, but try this place
Little Rhein Steak House.

It's about time someone brings us back to the remembrance of old school standards, tradition and values..

San Diego California, circa 1960 eating at the
Grant Grill, named after the son of Ulysses S Grant, (which is listed on the Historical Registry) having the best Prime Rib for just $5. Wow! those were the days. Incidentally my income was approximately $3,000 a week at the age of 21. The reason I did so well and could earn that kind of money was that I ran a company with over 200 salesmen, providing encyclopedia to America’s best. Can you imagine being able to eat the best meals for $5, staying in Hotel for less than $20, and making enough money to buy a brand new Chrysler Imperial every week. Me just a farm boy, from Eureka, South Dakota, ain’t that something, only in America. More later….

New Orleans, La

One special kind of place. Worth traveling just here to experience real local culture and food. What a treat, bring all your friends and let them tell you what a find.

             My Treat to You Milt

Savannah, Ga
Here at Lady and Son  is one of the most celebrated Southern Heritage places in America. You have to realize that southern cooking and country music are truly unique America inventions not old world bland style Yankee pot roast.

San Dimas,  Ca
Philly's Best is good way to get a great tasting Cheese Steak west of Philly.

Monrovia,  Ca
Wang's Palace  located right in Old Town Monrovia where you can enjoy a real early California experience. The family is very friendly and the food is delicious. Next door is the Monrovia Coffee Shop wifi free and open late, they have some very smooth coffee.  http://www.wangspalace.com/
